Quite and exotic and rare example of the symbolic gesture know as ‘Figa’, whose origins date back over 8000 years.

With a variety of meanings the most common symbolism is that of Mano Figa which originated in Etruscan Italy.

This particularly fine example is mounted in 18k yellow gold, with a tiny bracelet around the wrist also in gold, and an oval jump ring quite large enough to accommodate a variety of your favourite chains.

Sculpted finely from the beautiful pinkish-orange with green striations mineral called Unakite, this is the first example of its kind we have seen of this material.

Unknown age but we believe this rare piece would date to the early to mid 20th century.

Very good to excellent vintage’ antique condition. No chips or scuffs to Unakite. 18k gold mountings in very good condition. Gold bale shows no wear or thinning.

What is Unakite?

Unakite is the name used for a coarse-grained granitic rock that, after metamorphism, contains abundant pink orthoclase and pistachio-green epidote.
