A wonderful piece of vintage whimsy fully hallmarked for manufacture in the UK and date letter stamped for 1964 (60 years old!)
Crafted from 9ct yellow gold this charming filigree styled open-work ‘Orb’ opens to reveal a hidden compass with visible cardinal points and spinning directional arrow.
Highly detailed to both front and back compartments, with rope-twist detailing to the opening edges, and a secure opening and closing mechanism.
Suitable to be worn both as a conversation starter pendant, and also could be added to your favourite charm bracelet is desired.

CONDITION
Very good vintage condition. Gold orb opens and closes securely. Inside compass does show a little discolouration do to age, directional arrow spins and we assume therefore works. Top ring is 9ct, a later addition. No repairs.
