Here’s one for the books!
Quite a beautiful, large and impressive vintage ring modelled from 9ct yellow gold, ‘antique in style’ and classically set with five red oval and round faceted stones that are in fact not Garnets but ‘Garnet glass’.
With a large showy appearance with great finger spread the three oval faceted Garnet glass stones and graduated in size, with two supporting round facetted glass stones of every so slightly brighter red to the outskirts of the ring.
All the stones are very well set and secure set to a raised openwork gallery, to smooth upswept shoulders to a lovely thick and comfortable half round band.
With tiny but readable hallmarks for UK, makers mark, 375 and London Assay stamp.
Garnet glass or not this ring is a statement piece and look impressive and lovely on the finger.
