- Stunningly beautiful large orange sapphire (man-made) set in rich and lush 18ct yellow gold.
‘One 18ct yellow gold (acid tested, not stamped) handmade ring, weight 6.25 grams, set with one 12mm round faceted synthetic orange sapphire estimated weight 6.72ct in a gypsy multi claw setting. All on a 2.1m wide plain flat band'.
This ring is eye-poppingly beautiful. The deep rich orange hue of the sapphire is almost impossible to describe, and throws beams of lighter hued golden orange rays depending on the light.
With its rich 18ct gold setting complimenting the sapphire perfectly.
Hand made, not cast, and it shows. This is a very solid and quality made ring, very comfortable on the finger.
Lab-created synthetic sapphires have the same physical properties, Molecular make-up, visual characteristics and hardness level as the natural gemstones.
The main difference between a natural and a lab-created sapphire is its origin.
One is grown in the ground, the other in the lab.
