Some of the finest gold jewellery as we know is crafted in Italy. This particular chain is no exception.
Stamped with a ‘Star-AR-229 denoting manufacture in Arezzo one of the oldest registered gold making cities in Italy and certainly the most innovative.
This rich and buttery hued 18ct gold chain is sinuous, slinky and features elongated ellipse panels with fine twist detailing to the outside of the panel, with also fine ribbed detailing to the centre bar .. the combination of texture contrasting with the smooth highly polished interlocking rings makes this chain sparkle!
Long at 64cm (25 inches) this easy to wear chain slips over the head easily, however there is a spring bolt ring too.
Wear this beauty on its own or pair with your favourite pendant or enhancer.
History of Italian Hallmarks
Italian hallmarks are highly regulated. The ‘Star’ was introduced in 1968/70. The number following the Star identifies the gold or silversmith and the two letters identify the province where the item was manufactured.
