Just the prettiest, brightest, Victorian ladies Albertina. Constructed in the late Victorian era as a ladies Albertina from gold gilt, Circa 1890.
This example has survived over 120 years retaining its bright high carat gold gilt and we are sure will do so for another 100 years!
Probably French, but no markings to confirm. with two ornate pierced round orbs, six strand gorgeous tassel and T-bar, all connected by a double rope twist chain.
Clasp is typical dog clip and is nice and secure.
These early gold gilt items in our opinion are wonderful. They look as good, sometimes better than gold and of course are a fraction of the price. Becoming more and more collectable in their own right for not only their age but for their quality design and workmanship.
