Exquisite little brooch dating to the latter decade of the Victorian era circa 1890.
Crafted from bright 15ct yellow gold and set with twenty nine tiny natural seed Pearls in the popular then (and now) name ‘May’.
Fully enclosed to the verso and with a simple gold pin fastener and curled C clasp for closure.
Such a charming and sweet piece which could make a beautiful heirloom piece for a baby named May perhaps?
Half Seed Pearls

Tested at approx 15ct gold
Very very good antique condition. All Pearls are original with no signs of replacements or re-gluing. One tiny Pearl has a crack but is very stable in its setting and this cannot be seen without magnification. Pin is original and secure. Lovely brooch.Purchase Summary
