Superb Platinum Colombian Emerald & Diamond Ring Complete With An Independent Gemmological Valuation $14,327 AUD
Beautifully crafted in solid platinum, this impressive contemporary ring showcases a striking natural Colombian emerald framed by sparkling diamond-set shoulders.
Substantial in both design and presence, the ring features a wide, low half-round tapered shank with an open-backed setting and polished finish.
At its centre is a magnificent emerald-cut natural Colombian emerald, secured in a classic four-claw setting. Measuring approximately 8.8mm x 7.2mm x 4.8mm, the emerald has an estimated weight of 2.23cts and displays an attractive medium green colour.
Completing the design are eight natural round brilliant-cut diamonds, firmly claw set along the shoulders to provide a beautiful contrast against the vivid green centre stone. The diamonds range from approximately 1.75mm to 2.00mm, with a calculated total diamond weight of approximately 0.20ct, assessed as G–J colour and VS2–I1 clarity. Exhibiting a beautiful spread across the finger at 1.86cm east to west, the ring offers a lovely, understated appearance, also featuring simple yet elegant scroll detail to each side of the undergallery, it is a perfect everyday piece!
Weighing a pleasing 5.80 grams of solid platinum, measuring a finger size L 1/2 (16.5mm diameter, US 6), it can be resized up 3-4 sizes, down 1-2 with any competent jeweller.

Condition
Very good to excellent condition. The Emerald is stunning, natural, with no chips or abrasions, natural inclusions visible under x10 loupe magnification, noted for accuracy only. The claws holding the Emerald are original, very solid shoeing no wear; these claws are solid Platinum. The diamonds are bright and white, securely bead set with no chips or abrasions. The shank is solid, measuring 9.1mm at the widest point, tapering by design to 2.02mm at the verso. A stunning every day ring!
