One of the most classic and striking styles, the ‘Navette’ shaped ring has transcended the ages and is as popular to day as it was centuries ago.
This beauty, we believe dates to the late Victorian or early Edwardian era and is handcrafted from gold and the gems are, traditionally, set in silver.
Featuring a round Emerald to the centre, bezel and fine claw set, and studded with eighteen very old diamonds of mixed cuts - three facet rose-cuts and ’senaille’ cuts.
With subtle and fine engraving to the band extending 3/4 of the way around, just another addition to the allure of this ring.
The diamonds are dark, it is the nature of rose and senaille diamonds but they don’t detract from the classic beauty of this ring.
The navette measures a very nice 2.8cm x 1.2cm so quite a long ring.
Handcrafted from gold that has tested to around 14 to 15 carat, and solid silver.
History of Senaille and Rose-cuts
A small diamond chip with a flat base and cut in an irregular shape, usually somewhat in the form of a simplified circular rose-cut diamonds. Such chips were used in jewellery rather for their effect then for their intrinsic value.

Good antique condition, Emerald is average quality with with natural inclusions and a few marks seen under x10 magnification. Diamonds are naturally dark as they are three facet rose cuts and senaille cuts.
Band is in good condition with ever so slight ‘slimming’ to the rear, only noting for accuracy
