Pristine antique Australian 9ct yellow gold long or guard chain dating to the late Victorian era circa 1890.
Crafted as a heavy solid round belcher link chain with a single 9ct gold dog-clip, bright and luxurious in hue this one is superbly long at 158cm lending itself to a variety of styling options!
The large 2.0cm solid dog clip is stamped ‘9c’ in the Australian manner as is a separate applied cartouche to the chain also marked 9c’, and is solid and hefty enough to carry any of your favourite lockets or pendants if desired.
We must make note of this chains condition… it is as good as the day it was made over 120 plus years ago, we believe this one is one of those rare pieces that was tucked away and never worn.
These chains, in this condition, Australian to boot, do not appear often and simply are a jewellery connoisseurs dream!
