Superb Antique Australian 15ct Gold Cross - Willis and Sons - Circa 1910
Please note, boxes are for display only unless otherwise stated.
Effortlessly pretty and superbly detailed, this Edwardian era early Australian cross was crafted by one of our most prolific early Australian jewellery firms, Willis and Sons circa 1910.
Featuring ornate triangle shape detailing to the four points of the cross and centered with a smaller scale cross studded with 12 perfectly sized and matched natural half seed pearls, this example is slightly larger and heavier than others, weighing just shy of 6 grams and crafted in 15ct gold.
To the verso we find crisp hallmarks, the ‘Unicorn’ denoting Willis and Sons, ‘15ct’ for 15ct gold and ‘W’, for Willis and Sons used after 1904.
A very pretty piece, presenting in excellent antique condition, free of any dents, replacements or re glues of the Pearls.
A fabulous gift to celebrate June born family and friends or perhaps a head start to the Christmas gifting? Whichever the case may be, this piece would be a wonderful addition to your antique jewellery and collectibles collection.
