Beautifully crafted in 1909, in Birmingham, this romantic Edwardian ring would make a very special alternative choice for a wedding ring and a future family heirloom perhaps.
Modelled in 9ct rose gold throughout however to add contrast this ring was ‘bloomed’ (see below) to the textured background and deep points of the chased contours to give a yellow gold hue which contrasts with the rose gold strikingly.
Highly symbolic with three rows signifying ‘past, present and future’ with the centre row featuring seven finely chased flowers, with the two encompassing rows featuring enduring love heart motifs.
Wide at 10.5cm and 2cm east to west finger coverage to the then smooth delicately grooved shoulders which taper to a wide and comfortable D shape shank.
Strong, hefty in weight at 6 grams this comfortable antique ring is in amazing condition for its 112 years and with care will last another century with ease.
