The centre stone is a beautifully proportioned oval-cut natural Tourmaline, measuring approximately 8.9mm x 7.1mm or 1.61ct, four claw set, displaying a gorgeous medium, richly saturated pink. Its colour is particularly captivating — a vibrant rose-pink with deeper raspberry and subtle plum undertones, becoming brighter and more vivid as the facets catch the light. There is a wonderful depth to the colour, while the faceting brings flashes of brighter pink through the centre and edges of the stone.

Framing the Tourmaline are eighteen natural round brilliant-cut diamonds, totalling approximately 0.34 carats. Graded an impressive ‘H’ colour and SI-I1 clarity, the diamonds present beautifully white and bright, producing a lively halo of sparkle around the richly coloured centre stone. The contrast is gorgeous — crisp white brilliance surrounding that wonderful burst of saturated pink.

The ring is crafted entirely in platinum, with a polished, tapered shank and open-backed setting. Platinum is particularly lovely for a design such as this, its naturally cool white tone blends almost seamlessly with the ‘H’ colour diamonds, allowing the halo to appear wonderfully continuous and bright without introducing a warmer metal colour. The effect keeps all the attention on the gemstones and gives the ring a beautifully refined finish.

With a substantial total weight of 6.08 grams and a combined gemstone weight of approximately 1.95 carats, it has a lovely quality and presence on the hand while remaining elegant and very wearable!

Tourmaline is also one of the traditional October birthstones, making this an especially lovely choice for an October birthday — although with colour like this, you certainly don't need an October connection to fall for it.
