Ceylon sapphire are the finest quality sapphires that are available in the market today. Ceylon is now Sri Lanka, however the name Ceylon is still used in the gem trade.
It is our pleasure to offer this stunning 18ct white gold Ceylon/Sri Lankan sapphire ring which has been assessed by our gemologist for your peace of mind.
Constructed of 18ct and 14ct white gold and hallmarked as such, with plain D shape band to upswept shoulders each set with a flush rub over set diamond.
The 6mm x 5mm (approx 0.8ct to 1.00ct) Ceylon sapphire is held in place by four cylindrical pillars each set with a white sparkly diamond to the top, also rub over bezel set, these diamonds perfectly and subtly accent the sapphire perfectly.
The sapphire is every so slightly oval in shape but appears round, is of a violetish blue hue and of medium to high saturation. Velvety blue is the term that springs to mind.
A pleasure to wear, artistic in design, and almost certainly a custom made piece.
