Large and quite striking this unusually set rectangular-cut Smoky quartz cocktail ring makes such a statement when worn!

Crafted from 9ct yellow gold and weighing a hefty 18.50 grams which is needed to support the equally large Smoky quartz which itself measures 2.0cm x 1.5cm x 0.8cm approximately or an estimated 17 carats.

Surprisingly comfortable to wear as the shoulders and shank of this ring are wide and cleverly designed to support the weight as not to to slip around on your finger (if it’s your size of course).

The impressive chocolate / umber hued Smoky is ‘tension’ set inside the very wide 2.2cm shoulders and appears side on to ‘hang’ in the setting allowing the pavilion and culet to be seen.

Exhibiting warm golden yellow rays which are further enhanced by the reflection from the bright and lush yellow gold this ring is quite dazzling in the sunlight.

Given the style of setting the Smoky quartz is very well protected as is evidenced by then fact it is in such lovely condition.

Very very good vintage condition. The Smoky quartz is is very good to excellent condition with no chips or abrasions. No thinning to the substantial and solid setting or shank. Highly polished gold finish shows some very minor marks, nothing deep, these could be easily buffed out by your jewellery however it’s really not necessary.
