Antique Australian 9ct Rose Gold ‘Floating’ Opal Glass Phial/Vial Circa 1890’s

Collections: Sold Archive

Antique Australian Opal Phial dating to the late Victorian to early Edwardian era.
Most often we see the brooch variety of these glass opal filled phials, so to find the pendant variety is quite unusual.

Whilst some we have had and seen over the years contain quite colourless and ‘flat’ Opal chips this particular piece contains larger Opal chips that are full of colour and frankly they seem to glow!  Exhibiting iridescent blues, greens and soft pinks and even yellows.

Capped with a substantial 9ct rose gold cap and original bale this lovely early Australian piece looks quit stunning on a simple plain chain or add it to your favourite antique watch chain for a truly stunning look.
