This striking ring is a bold statement piece, substantially crafted in solid 9 carat yellow gold and set with a large, eye-catching tourmalinated quartz.
Sometimes also known as tourmalated quartz or rutile quartz, this fascinating gemstone is celebrated for it natural inclusions. The fine black rutile rods, known as black Tourmaline or Schorl, create unique patterns that resemble tree branches silhouetted against a pale winter sky – each stone a miniature work of art from nature!
The quartz itself is an impressive 18.8mm x 10.6mm - approximately 10.0ct - and is securely rub-over set in diamond set settings with eight single-cut diamonds (sixteen in total) to each side, adding sparkle and contrast to the dramatic principal stone.
Surprisingly low set to the finger with a wearable rise of only 7.3mm.
This substantial gold ring - 6.48 grams - features flared shoulders tapering to the rear shank, giving the ring both strength and balance.
Fully hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham and dated 2009, this ring weighs a solid 6.48 grams. Bold and eye-catching, it looks beautiful on the finger and is sure to spark admiration and conversation wherever it’s worn.

Excellent preowned condition. The toumalinated quartz is in perfect condition, no chips, abrasions or surface wear. Diamonds are bright, white and lively, all are secure in their settings with no chips or abrasions. Shank is very substantial and solid, no thinning. A lovely unusual ring!
