Not genuine sovereigns however these lovely solid 22ct yellow gold ‘medals’ have been designed as commemorative pendants for the year 1986!
With George and the Dragon to one side and the year ’1986’ at the bottom and to the reverse Queen Elizabeth in profile and the banner ‘Souvenir coin of Europe - Medal’.
Now.. we have two of these, a pair if you like, both for 1986, but one has King George to the reverse and one Queen Elizabeth.
In our opinion with the addition of a link to the floral bale and shepherds hook ear fitting the pair if purchased together would make a spectacular pair of earrings!!
Or wear as a pendant as intended!
