18ct white gold dress ring four claw set across the finger with one approximately 13.5mm x 10.9mm cushion cut eep red Pyrope Garnet of given weight 11.28ct, held in a fleur-de-lus decorated mount, grain set with twelve approximately 0.8mm. dieter round brilliant cut Diamonds to split shoulders (four forming the claws) grain set with a further eighty four round brilliant cut Diamonds ranging from 0.8mm - 1.5mm in diameter on a 4.1mm wide half round shank.
The word "pyrope" comes from the Greek word "puropus", made up of "pur" (fire) and "ops" (eye) meaning "fiery-eyed". This refers to the impressive brilliance of pyrope garnet, which is a result of its high refractive index.
