Laybys welcome! Contact Us today to secure your dream piece.

A strikingly beautiful contemporary ring crafted from 18ct rose gold and centred with a large approximately 4.80ct peachy pink cushion cut Morganite.

Morganite displays a property called Pleochroism  - Pleochroism means "more colours”.  Pleochroic gems show two or three colours when viewed from different angles, and this gorgeous gem ranges in colour from a golden blush/golden yellow to an incredible peach/salmon hue in sunlight, truly stunning!

The Morganite is cut in the antique cushion-cut stye, in a rub over bezel setting, to a lovely pierced gallery, and a substantial solid half round shank.

Elegant in design this mesmerising ring is superbly faceted, with scintillating sparkles in a range of colours, one cannot take their eyes away from it!

A substantial ring, strikingly beautiful on the finger, this showstopper will become a future family heirloom.

INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT MORGANITE

“Pink Morganite was first discovered in Madagascar in 1910 and is known also as 'pink Emerald or pink Beryl.  George F. Kunz, a famous American gemologist and supplier for Tiffany & Company, renamed it in honour of J.P. Morgan, the American banker, who was an avid gemstone collector. Since its discovery, Morganite stones have been prized by gem collectors owing to its rarity”.

Morganite ranges from pale pink to violet-pink, peach, peachy-pink, or salmon in colour.

A pure pink morganite gemstone is considered most desirable, but peachy and salmon-coloured stones have been in very high demand more recently.

Morganite is an aluminium beryllium silicate. Its colour can range from light pink to violet-pink, salmon, or peach. Along with other beryls, Morganite has excellent hardness, with a rating of 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs hardness scale

Morganite’s subtle colour is caused by traces of manganese. Because morganite has distinct pleochroism—pale pink and a deeper bluish pink—it’s necessary to orient the rough carefully for fashioning. Strong colour in morganite is rare, and gems usually have to be large to achieve the finest colour.
