Gorgeous Vintage 9ct Yellow Gold Almandine Garnet Bridge Style Ring - London 1977
Vintage Garnet Beauty!
A gorgeous example of 1970s British jewellery, this is a wonderfully wearable vintage ring with all the warmth, colour and character that makes Almandine garnet jewellery so appealing. Its combination of deep red gemstones, warm yellow gold and decorative bridge setting makes it especially striking when worn.

A wonderfully rich and characterful vintage 9ct yellow gold Almandine garnet bridge-style ring, beautifully hallmarked for London 1977 and showcasing a gorgeous arrangement of deep, wine-red garnets across the finger.
Taking centre stage is a substantial oval faceted Almandine garnet, estimated at approximately 0.95ct, displaying the wonderfully deep crimson to burgundy-red colour so characteristic of fine Almandine garnet. In certain light, subtle flashes of warmer cherry and claret red emerge through the facets, giving the stone lovely depth and richness.
The centre garnet is beautifully framed by two oval-cut Almandine garnets, estimated at approximately 0.15ct each, creating the attractive graduated profile traditionally associated with bridge-style rings. Nestled between the larger stones are four petite faceted garnets, adding further touches of rich red colour and completing the wonderfully decorative arrangement.
The garnets are held within an intricate openwork yellow gold setting, with the warm tone of the 9ct gold providing a particularly beautiful contrast against the saturated red gemstones. The pierced detailing between the stones gives the ring a lovely sense of texture and allows glimpses of light to enter around the garnets, while the gently raised bridge construction creates an impressive presence across the finger.

Condition
Very very good vintage condition. The three larger garnets are very lively, with only a tiny minuscule flea bite visible under 10x loupe magnification to the outer garnet. There is a very inconsequential surface reaching fissure to the table of one of the tiny garnets, visible under 10x loupe magnification, noting for accuracy only. A gorgeous ring!Explore Our Collection
