Gorgeous Vintage 18ct White Gold Diamond Rosette Style Cluster Ring With An Independent Gemmological Valuation for $5,620 AUD
Please note, boxes are for display only unless otherwise stated.
Crafted in a combination of approximately 18ct and 12ct white gold (XRF tested), this gorgeous ring dates to approximately the 1930s–early 1940s, displaying many of the design and manufacturing characteristics associated with jewellery of the period, from its pierced floral rosette-style setting and knife-edged shoulders, the ring centres an early modern round brilliant-cut natural diamond measuring approximately 4.5mm in diameter and estimated to weigh 0.35 carats, G colour and SI1 clarity. The central diamond is secured within a simple rub-over setting, creating a clean and beautifully defined focal point.
Surrounding the centre is a charming pierced floral or rosette-style cluster, formed from boat-shaped sections incorporated into the hemispherical head. Nestled within these are eight grain-set single-cut natural diamonds, each measuring approximately 1.2mm in diameter, with a combined estimated weight of 0.08 carats. These additional diamonds are also G colour with VS clarity, adding a delicate shimmer throughout the intricately pierced design.
The combination of the rounded central bezel, petal-like diamond-set surrounds and open pierced detailing gives the ring a wonderfully decorative appearance, almost reminiscent of a stylised flower or rosette when viewed from above.
The ring is finished with knife-edged shoulders leading into a high half-round and solid band.
With a total estimated diamond weight of approximately 0.43 carats, this is a particularly lovely and individual diamond ring — beautifully handcrafted, full of character and with a design that is just that little bit different from the traditional diamond cluster.
