Exquisite Colour Change Natural Ceylon Sapphire Diamond Ring Art Deco or Art Deco Style

Very rarely do we have the pleasure of offering such a rare and exquisite ring for purchase.

Colour change phenomena in gemstones is rare, and very desirable, their beauty and allure unmistakable.

From the independent gemologist valuation we quote:

“This custom made 9ct yellow gold, ring features sapphires (Natural) in pierced carved claw settings alternating with the diamonds set in pairs in between on a pierced scalloped undersetting.  The setting is supported by upraised flared shoulders flowing down to a half round profile, parallel band of even thickness.  Exact replacement may be improbable”.

Under natural light the three natural sapphires appear to be Ceylon cornflower blue.  Under incandescent light (or while being photographed) the centre 0.58ct natural oval sapphire exhibits a subtle but noticeable colour change to a light lavender/purple.  Truly beautiful and a gift from nature.

Beautifully hand crafted, the under gallery is scrolled and ornate, the shoulders engraved also. The diamonds are very good quality, bright and sparkly and assessed as G in colour and SI1 in clarity.

A copy of Valuation can be emailed on request if desired.
