Early Australian 9ct Rose Gold Azurite/Chrysocolla Ring

Rare and very unusual early Australian piece, dating to approx. 1930s to mid 1940s.  Set with a large, solitaire cabochon-cut stone, which we/our gemologist believes is likely Azurite which is sometimes combined with another mineral, possibly Chrysocolla, measuring 2.6cm x 1.7cm.
This stunning blue stone is multi claw set, in an ever so slightly raised gallery.  Two bifurcated shoulders to a slim, D shape band.  Handcrafted in 9ct rose gold, in beautiful condition for its age, no abrasions or chips to the stone.  All claws are original and very secure.
Such an incredible statement ring, the first example of its kind that we have come across in 30 years experience.
