Rich, beautifully faceted and wonderfully substantial, this contemporary smoky quartz pendant necklace is a striking piece with a particularly luxurious feel.
At its centre is a magnificent round faceted smoky quartz measuring approximately 1.93cm in diameter, estimated at approximately 15 carats. The stone displays a gorgeous depth of colour, moving through warm chocolate and cognac brown to softer taupe and olive-toned flashes as it catches the light. Its broad, beautifully arranged facets give the quartz wonderful movement and reflection, with lighter golden-brown tones appearing around the edges against the deeper, more saturated centre.
The smoky quartz is framed in a smooth 18ct rose gold setting, stamped ‘750’. Its warm blush tone complements the earthy colour of the gemstone beautifully. The complete pendant measures approximately 2.45cm wide by 3.33cm long, including the generous polished bail, measuring approximately 5.1mm internally- the perfect size to thread onto a favourite chain or necklace for a different look.
Suspended from a strong black rubber cord measuring approximately 42cm in length, the necklace sits beautifully flat against the chest, allowing the pendant to remain the focus. The contrast between the contemporary black cord, warm rose gold and richly coloured smoky quartz gives the piece a clean, modern elegance. It is finished with a secure parrot clasp in yellow gold, stamped “585” for 14ct gold and “Italy”.
The pendant itself weighs approximately 13 grams, giving it a reassuringly substantial feel in the hand and a lovely weight when worn. Despite its impressive size, it sits beautifully against the body and feels wonderfully balanced.
A sophisticated statement piece in its own right, it would also pair beautifully with our smoky quartz ring, creating an especially striking combination of those deep, warm smoky tones and rich rose gold.

This beautiful smoky quartz pendant presents in gorgeous condition, with no chips or abrasions to the stone. The strong rubber necklace remains beautifully firm with no stretching, while the parrot clasp opens and closes securely. The generous bail is a lovely practical detail, allowing the pendant to also be worn on a favourite chain if desired. A beautifully kept modern piece with a lovely substantial feel.
