Dating to 1904, this wonderfully unusual Edwardian treasure features three sparkling Old European-cut diamonds arranged north to south, embraced by beautifully sweeping 18ct yellow-gold crossover shoulders. Complete with coveted Chester hallmarks, it's a gorgeous little piece of history with character, charm and a design that's anything but ordinary. One of those special antique rings you simply don't see every day!

An Edwardian treasure with a difference! Dating to 1904, this absolutely gorgeous antique diamond trilogy ring is a wonderfully unusual example of Edwardian craftsmanship, combining timeless elegance with a design that is anything but ordinary.
Crafted in rich 18ct yellow gold, this enchanting piece features three beautiful Old European-cut diamonds, arranged in a rather fabulous north-to-south formation, a striking departure from the traditional horizontal trilogy setting. The result is an incredibly elegant, elongated design that sits beautifully along the finger, offering all the romance of an antique trilogy with a distinctly individual character.
The diamonds are simply delightful! With a combined estimated weight of 0.30ct, bezel-set with a millgraine edging, they are wonderfully bright and lively, displaying that unmistakable sparkle so loved in antique hand-cut diamonds. Graded approximately G–H in colour and SI2 in clarity, these gorgeous little old cuts catch the light beautifully, bringing a lovely brilliance to this charming Edwardian creation.
One of the most special attributes of this ring is its wonderful provenance. Bearing the historic Chester Assay Office hallmark, represented by the three wheat sheaves and sword, alongside the date letter 'D' for 1904, this piece is as perfect today as it was when it was originally crafted 122 years ago!
Chester hallmarks are particularly cherished by collectors of antique jewellery, especially as the historic assay office permanently closed its doors in 1962. No further pieces can ever be hallmarked by the original Chester Assay Office, making surviving examples all the more appealing. With so much antique jewellery having been lost, altered or melted down over the generations, finding such a beautifully preserved Edwardian treasure with its historic hallmarks is an absolute delight.
There is something so wonderfully romantic about a jewel that has already enjoyed more than a century of history, yet remains just as wearable and captivating today!
