Antique Willis & Sons 9ct Rose Gold / Amethyst Drop Pendant Circa 1910

Collections: Sold Archive

One of the most stunning gemstone cuts, the pentagon, and in this case an elongated version.

So rare to find this shape in an antique piece of jewellery!
Crafted by and hallmarked for one of our finest early Australian jewellers Willis & Sons 1858-1980. This piece is Edwardian and dates to circa 1910.

The pentagon-cut natural Amethyst is claw set to a raised pierced mount, open back and suspended from a knife edge bar to a simple jump ring.

Included is a 9ct chain, modern, stamped 9ct Italy.
Simple and elegant on, the star of the show is the superb Amethyst, eye catching is an understatement!
