Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Repousse Aide-Mémoire Circa 1890-1900
A perfectly pretty antique aide-mémoire dating to the late Victorian to early Edwardian era circa 1890-1900.
Crafted from Sterling silver with high relief floral repoussé work to the front silver panel and the gorgeous attached swivel bale, and a plain panel to the rear.
Inside we find the four fancy edged ivorine/celluloid leaves which all slide and return perfectly, one of which has original notes from a century ago!
Nicely proportioned at 4cm x 3cm this charming antique piece looks wonderful on a chain and worn as a pendant and is such a conversation starter when worn!

CONDITION
Very very good antique condition. All celluloid leaves, four, are present with no cracks or damage, slide our and return perfectly, original writing to one, easily removed. Repoussé work is lovely, do dents, repairs or damage. Bale is strong, no thinning. Silver patina present, could be polished back to ‘new’ but this would be a shame.
