A stunning combination of old and new featuring an antique Victorian Sterling Silver Locket of substantial size and a more recent and just as wonderful Sterling Silver bookchain or collar.
Of impressive size and presence the oval locket is a commanding 4.6cm x 4cm without the bale and with the bale 6.1cm drop!
Double sided with the most beautiful floriate patterning to one side and to the other raised monogram lettering we believe to be ‘ECB’ or ‘ECP’ however we are quite happy to hear your thoughts! We see these ornate gothic style lettering as an embellishment rather that just initials, they are a stunning feature, identifiable or not.
Upon opening the locket we find one silver rim and glazed panel with a slip of old taffeta material. The other rim and glazed panel has been lost over time.
Now the chain … Featuring a series of sixteen 2.5cm silver ornate pierced panels joined with sturdy round links and clasping together with not one but two large and versatile ‘jump ring’ which have a hidden push down mechanism which is so easy to use ( see video below ).
Large enough to accommodate this substantial locket of course but also all manner of your other favourite pendants and lockets if desired.

CONDITION
Antique locket is in excellent condition. Opens and closes securely. No dents or dings. As mentioned one internal rim and glazed panel are missing, other is present and fine. Chain is lovely, clasps open and close securely.
