Large in her proportions this 7.5cm (with bale) x 4.4cm Sterling silver locket dates to the late Victorian era circa 1890.
Crafted from Sterling silver throughout and beautifully etched to the front with what we believe to be the initials ‘WTC’ and the rear panel is plain and uninscribed.
Inside the locket she retains both her silver rims however some time in the past the glass panels have been replaced with a firm plastic.
With a large gauge bale which will accommodate a substantial silver chain or thread this beauty on a plain black ribbon for a chic alternative!
Drop with bale 7.5cm
Locket itself measures 5.6cm x 4.4cm

Very good antique condition. Locket opens and closes securely. No dents to front panel, rear panel shows a few very shallow impressions (see video). Inner silver rims are original, plastic inserts would be later additions. Lovely large and impressively sized locket.
