A truly lovely Antique Victorian Moss Agate fob pendant, beautifully combining the soft warmth of 9ct rose gold with the wonderfully organic colouring and natural patterning of Moss Agate.

The elongated Moss Agate panel is particularly attractive, displaying beautiful translucent milky-grey and softly smoky areas interspersed with rich mossy green inclusions that appear almost like tiny fern fronds, foliage and miniature landscapes suspended within the stone. The contrast is gorgeous and gives the piece that unmistakable natural character for which Moss Agate is so loved — no two pieces ever quite alike.
The stone is framed and accented in beautifully warm rose gold, with a particularly lovely rosy hue and delicate engraved detailing to the upper mount. A decorative central shield-shaped cartouche adds further Victorian charm, we believe the engraved monogram script to be ‘EC’ but we are certainly open to further interpretation!
The gold has tested as 9 carat, with a very faint stamp visible to the top section of the mount.
The Moss Agate fob measures approximately 4.60cm in length excluding the bale, or 5.40cm including the top bale, with a maximum width of approximately 1.40cm. The generously proportioned bale makes it a wonderfully wearable piece and an ideal size to slip easily onto your favourite chain
Presenting in very good to excellent antique condition, with all fittings secure and no evidence of repairs. The Moss Agate itself remains beautifully preserved, with no chips or notable abrasions. The rose gold retains a gorgeous warm patina that only adds to its antique character.
A really lovely Victorian piece — full of colour, individuality and charm, and a beautiful size for everyday wear.
