Antique Victorian/Edwardian Cornucopia Scent Bottle With Original Box Circa 1900

Stunning antique larger than average ‘cornucopia’ chatelaine scent bottle dating to the late Victorian to perhaps the very early Edwardian era.

Surprisingly this one has her original hinged, velvet interior, box or perhaps a slightly later custom made box to fit this bottle perfectly.

Large at 10cm in length tapering to the ’stopper’ end which is 1.3cm, and remarkably inside we find the original glass stopper and cotton wool liner to the inside of the cap.

The fittings are in gilt metal, the large round end displays fine engined turned patterning and is large and stable enough  to allow this bottle to stand upright!

A wonderful addition to anyone's perfume bottle collection with the added bonus her lovely large box also!

CONDITION
Very very good antique condition.  No chips, cracks or rough spots to glass section of bottle.  Tiny nicks to inside glass stopper only. Gilt brass shows patina, could probably be buffed back to a high finish ‘gold’, we don’t believe this should be done or necessary.  Lovely piece.

Please note boxes and chains are for display only unless otherwise stated.
