Antique Victorian / Edwardian 9ct Yellow Gold Double Sided Photo Locket Circa 1900

Elegant and charming antique 9ct yellow gold aways popular double-sided photo locket dating to the late Victorian early Edwardian period.

With original and very heavy bevelled glass, the thickest we have personally seen, with original photos kept intact.

These lockets were made in a time when photos were quite thick therefore this locket cannot be worn without photos, miniature artworks, or something to plump out the glass panels.  We have removed the original photos with this piece and simply placed some clear perspex between the glass panels to plump it out.

Constructed of buttery yellow 9ct gold and stamped as such, with two delicate ribbon like motifs to the top just as an added touch and with the usual screw top mechanism allowing this locket to be effortlessly opened for you to add your own photos or personal touch.
