Antique Victorian Double Drop Turquoise 9ct Gold Earrings Circa 1870

Collections: Sold Archive

Quite a wonderful, rare and early pair of pave set natural Persian Turquoise earrings dating to circa 1870.

Unusual and hard to find double-drops with two round discs each literally ‘paved’ with round cabochon Turquoise.

Hand crafted around 150 years ago and masterfully constructed from two sections.. the Turquoise are set in silver to the front.. the verso is a separate sheet of solid gold.

The ear wires are also 9ct gold or higher.

Romantic and stunning and as wearable today as they were 150 years ago.

CONDITION
Very good antique condition.  All Turquoise are original with no replacements or sign of re-gluing.  Ear wires are in excellent condition, secure and strong.  To the rear of one disc there is a slight section of loss to gold, this may have happened during construction, very very slight marks to rear of other discs, this does not affect nor detract from the beauty of these earrings.
