Delightful late Victorian natural seed pearl and turquoise Swallow brooch modelled in 9ct yellow gold and hallmarked for William Dunkling circa 1895.

Set with eight natural seed / half pearls and one solitaire turquoise for the eye.

‘Swallow jewellery is steeped in symbolism.  Mating for life, these pieces of jewellery were often given to young couples or exchanged between them on their wedding day’.

Petite in size measuring 2.5cm x 1.5cm this exquisitely made pin looks wonderful on a crisp white shirt or even as a scarf accompaniment.
