DESCRIPTION (Please scroll to the bottom to view video)
Utterly charming and quite a rare little Victorian ornate watch winder designed in the form of a Cornucopia or ‘Horn of plenty’ which would have been worn on a lady’s chatelaine.
Crafted from 9ct yellow gold and beautifully chased with a floral design against a textured background throughout.
A larger oval jump ring has been attached sometime in the past which now conveniently allows this unusual antique piece to be worn as a pendant on a chain or suspend this one from you favourite long guard chain!
1.3cm At widest point tapering 3.2 at watch winder end
4.10 Grams - Hollow in design
Tested as 9ct gold, chain test a little higher at around 10ct
Very good antique condition. Scroll work is lovely, chain is secure. Minor ‘defect’ to gold at the ‘cup’ section of Horn, hard to see and inconsequential to structure.
