Antique Victorian 9ct Gold Albertina Necklace Circa 1890
A wonderful piece of antique jewellery which would have began its life as an antique Albertina Fob chain (the central section) but has, in its early history, been beautifully converted to a wearable and stunning necklace.
The central triple foxtail and ornate floral’ slider’ has had the addition of a heavy antique 9ct fancy faceted oval double chain and bolt ring resulting in a very wearable necklace measuring a pleasing 42cm in length.
A tri-colour ornate ‘slider’ (does not slide) with raised floral embellishments sits in the middle of the triple foxtail chains (testing as gold filled/rolled gold) - this section measures 21cm - to the high quality 9ct rose gold double chains which sit beautifully on the neck.
Perfectly combined, with skill, this antique conversion necklace is not only unusual but breathtakingly beautiful to wear.

CONDITION
Very good to excellent antique condition. Non repairs or damage, patina here and there. No thinning to chain links, bolt ring or loops. No damage or fraying to triple fox tail chains. Slider is lovely bright and in excellent condition. No issues to note.
