Stunningly beautiful Victorian Etruscan revival earrings dating to the late Victorian era circa 1880.
Crafted from 20ct gold (XRF Tested) and designed as spherical Orb dangle balls adorned with Etruscan fancy rope wirework and set with five tiny Turquoise cabochons.
These Orbs are suspended below an equally beautiful matching pear-shaped section also with a single tiny Turquoise and delicate Etruscan work also.
In the Victorian manner and techniques frequently used during this era these earrings are not only high carat (20ct) gold but ‘bloomed’ over for an even brighter yellow gold colour. Under scrutiny there is a little loss of this blooming seen mainly to the back of the spheres. This is normal and of no consequence.
Lever hooks to the rear with ‘U’ shaped safety section keep these lovely Victorian earrings safely in the ear.
In the Victorian manner no only are these earrings 20ct gold but they have also been ‘bloomed’ or ‘coloured’ (the English term) to give an even higher carat finish.
These earrings are divine and present infrequently to the market!

CONDITION
Very very good antique condition. Turquoise is bright and each is original with no replacements or re-glues. Lever backs are secure, one is ever so slightly lax but once in the ear and secured with the ‘U’ hook are perfectly stable in the ear, no issues with hinge, just the way it was made over 130 years ago.
