Antique Victorian 18ct Yellow Gold Garnet Fringe Earrings Circa 1880
Dating to the late Victorian era, crafted in 18ct yellow gold, and vey substantial at a combined weight of 13.8 grams
Designed for pierced ears with a large and substantial shepherds hook fitting to crescent shaped engraved section and from there the main drop which is articulated, with a small faceted Garnet to the centre. Below are the nine tassels-fringe which swish so very enticingly.
Solidly and beautifully crafted with an incredible drop from the ear of 7cm, and 2cm wide at their widest point.
Nothing short of spectacular in the ear, pairs of earring of this quality do not present to the market often.

CONDITION
Very good antique condition. Substantial in manufacture and weight. Original throughout, no repairs. Minor marks to gold. Strong and solid shepherds hooks. Tassels all present, some hang slightly askew but straight and swish just lovely. Gorgeous earrings which feel and look exceptional in the ear.
