A fabulous piece of jewellery, in the style of Castellani, dating to the mid to late Victorian era circa 1870’s.

The Victorians bore a fascination with the ancient cultures, particularly the Etruscans, and the desire for jewellery reflecting these cultures dominated demand during the mid to late 1800’s.

This fine example is crafted from 18ct yellow gold and features the typical sophisticated gold-smithing technique of granulation (tiny bead work) and fine wire work of the aesthetic.

Designed as a diamond-shaped pendant with four exquisite diamond-shaped sections and four round all with fine worry work, surrounded the central ‘Scarab’ feature set inside a concave round setting.

Stunningly crafted, this superb piece of Etruscan revival jewellery is a must for the serious collector
