Antique Victorian 15ct Yellow Gold Cabochon/Carbuncle Garnet Ring
One of the most beautiful antique Garnet rings we’ve had the pleasure of offering, we’ve fallen hard for this one and hope you will too!
Crafted from 15ct yellow gold during the early to mid Victorian era, this beauty is set with a large 14.9mm x 10mm cabochon Garnet which has been ‘carved’ out to the verso to allow more light and colour to be displayed, and this technique has achieved its purpose! A stunning colour, a pinky/red perhaps but a deep and lush hue hard to describe (see attached video also).
The Garnet is bezel set to an ornate engraved surround, to exquisitely detailed shoulders and a portion of the shank, then extending to a plain flat shank.
Low rise on the finger at a very wearable and comfortable 6.0mm, this antique ring is simply beautiful, and in wonderful condition.

CONDITION
Excellent antique condition. No chips, abrasions or dulling to Garnet. Setting is lovely, ornate and no wear to engraved scrolling patterns. No thinning to shank. A beautiful relatively low rise antique ring.
