Just on the cusp of the Art Deco era this charming and quite feminine in design Sterling Silver sovereign case was manufacture by Deakin And Francis - “Founded in 1786, Deakin & Francis are England’s oldest family jewellers”.
Fully hallmarked for manufacture in Birmingham and date letter stamped for 1913 this elegant example has intricate Ivy engraving to the outer border both front and back, and two clear uninscribed panels to front and back also.
Inside we find a sprung bed for holding sovereigns in perfect working order just waiting for some delicious old coins once again!

CONDITION
Very good antique condition. Opens and closes perfectly. Spring bed inside in perfect working order. One side of case has a couple of tiny pin prick impressions, other is fine, both show minor marks commensurate with age. All in all very nice condition.
