Fine quality antique Vesta case crafted in Sterling Silver hallmarked for manufacture in 1904.
Hallmarked for Arthur Cook of Carver Street Birmingham and assayed at the Birmingham office with full hallmarks as such.
Engraved with a particularly pretty and feminine foliate pattern to the lid and both sides in diagonal fashion, with a plain section where ones initials could have been, and still could be inscribed if desired.
Measuring a very wearable and quite large 4.1cm x 3.2cm, this heavy piece - 21.9 grams - would make a lovely ‘keep sake’ to which treasured momento, dried flowers or perhaps a secret note could be inserted and worn close to ones heart!

CONDITION
Very good antique condition. Lip opens and closes with a snap, very tight and secure. Strike plate present and in very good condition. Minor marks to silver, no dents, one slight impression to rear only and tiny.
