Antique Sterling Silver Large Match Safe Vesta Case - Birmingham 1909
An antique Vesta case crafted in Sterling Silver hallmarked for manufacture in 1909.
Hallmarked for manufacture in 1909 and assay mark for Birmingham.
Engraved with a pretty foliate pattern to the lid and both sides, with a plain section to one side where we find the initials ‘EW’.
Measuring a very wearable and quite large 3.9cm x 3.9cm, this heavy piece - 22.1 grams - would make a lovely ‘keep sake’ to which treasured momento, dried flowers or perhaps a secret note could be inserted and worn close to ones heart!
This charming antique vesta has been loved a little over the years but still has many many years of use ahead of him!

CONDITION
Good antique condition. Opens and closes well, if not as perfectly when first manufactured. Slight dimpling/open seam to one section. Strike plate shows a little rust. Overall good condition, priced accordingly.
