Dating to the Georgian era to very early Victorian era, circa 1820's this sublime ring is in incredible condition for her 200+ years of age.

Hand crafted of course from 15ct yellow gold and designed as a ‘Rosette’ comprising a central old Mine cut diamond in typical cut down silver settings of the era, to a surround of black enamel (in original untouched perfect condition), to a halo of sixteen natural half Pearls also in cut down settings closed backed settings.

To the verso there is a locket compartment for holding hair - the glass pane is sadly missing - and traces of the original hair can still be seen (removable if desired).

Split bifurcated ornate scrolling shoulders and detailed shank with superb shell and acanthus details to a grooved concave rear shank.

No alterations, no repairs or reinforcements, this wonderful early ring is in fine condition, and would be an asset to any serious Georgian jewellery collector.

CONDITION
Very good to excellent antique condition. All Pearls original, no nacre loss, silvery white in hue. No losses to enamel, and no repairs / fill ins. Shoulders and shank are lovely, details are crisp, no wear, no repairs or reinforcements. Locket to rear is missing its pane, some original hair seen deep inside. Diamond has no chips or nicks. Minor marks to gold only, insignificant. A lovely all original Georgian ring with no alterations or repairs.
