Antique Georgian / Early Victorian Gold Cased Citrine Intaglio Fob Seal

This wonderful fob seal dates to the early to mid 1800’s and is crafted in gold cased fashion typical of the era.

Set with a large 1.9cm x 1.6cm bright honey hued Citrine inscribed with the initials 'D L' in ye olde script.

Large at 3.1cm tall and a very pleasing 16 grams this imposing and eye catching Citrine seal looks stunning when worn.

Originally used to adorn a watch chain for a well to do gentleman with the monogrammed intaglio seal used to seal or for other correspondence, today these wonderful fobs can be worn on your favourite split ring or simply thread a chain through the roomy top loop!

CONDITION
Good antique condition.  Some wear to gold casing to high points.  Citrine is lovely, no chips, foil backing is also very good with no obvious deterioration lovely and bright
