Dating to the Georgian era circa 1800 this delightful piece is set with an array of ‘black dot’ antique cut paste (glass) gemstones in a daisy flower cluster.  Each paste has a small ‘black dot’ painted to the open culet to simulate old cut diamonds.

A particularly fine example the paste gems sparkle with a superior shimmer and glow and are in incredible condition for their age, with no chips or abrasions to be seen!

Each stone is set in cut down foil backed settings, in silver typical of the Georgian era, to a dish domed plain closed silver back.

The flower cluster head measures a lovely large 1.2cm round and a very low rise to the finger rise of only 4.9mm.

The shank is a later addition, crafted from 9ct yellow gold and has been skillfully done by an obviously good jewellery familiar with Georgian jewellery.

Beginning its early life most probably as a paste button or similar, this piece has obviously been treasured for over two centuries to survive in the superb condition it has and is just waiting to be worn, seen and loved once again.
