Charming and very early 22ct yellow gold ring dating to the Georgian era and modelled as a ‘Forget Me Not’ flower head ring.
Set with six natural Turquoise cabochons surrounding a tiny Ruby all of which are set in cut down collet settings.
The shoulders and shank are lovely… delicate floral scroll work extends down to the grooved shank ending with an exquisite tiny leaf motif.
Starting her life with a hidden locket compartment behind the Turquoise head however at some stage this has been lost (please see photos), this does not affect the ring at all.
These sentimental rings were given as love tokens to remind the wearer to ‘Not forget’ the giver, how romantic!
Petite and dainty measuring 9mm across the flower and in such lovely condition for its 200 years of age.. Oh the stories this one could tell!

For 200 years this one is in very very good condition. Shank is original, embossed shoulders are lovely with no dents. Shank shows no sign of wear, the grooves have not worn down. 22ct stamp is clear. Turquoise seems original, one shows natural green overtones. Ruby shows facet wear however as it is tiny this cannot seen with out x10 magnification. Glazed compartment to the verso is now missing. Gorgeous original Georgian ring.
