Dating to the Georgian era this extraordinary intaglio fob Seal has survived for 200 hundred years in absolutely incredible condition. Obviously loved and therefore coveted away, this piece shows very little signs of use.
Crafted from 15ct rose gold and set with a large oval Chalcedony agate which has been hand carved in high detail with the initial ‘H’ in stylised form, and surrounding the ‘H’ an equally meticulously carved garland surround.
Standing an impressive 3.5cm tall with its original faceted edge top bale, and the base also impressive at 2.5cm x 2.0cm.
A desirable piece of early jewellery, certainly for any one for whom the letter ‘H’ holds significance, this commanding piece of jewellery is a collectors dream.
