A superb and early Chalcedony Intaglio seal fob dating to the Georgian era circa 1810-30’s. Crafted over 200 years ago we are thrilled to offer this extraordinary intaglio fob seal.
Crafted from 12ct rosy hued gold and set with a large oval carved intaglio Chalcedony depicting a Stag inside a shield topped by a bow ribbon garland, to a back drop of the finest textured linear carving.
A large example this fabulous intaglio seal measures 3cm tall and the base 2.5cm x 2.0cm.
Curvaceous plinths flow towards the top finial encircling, to the centre, an oval double window with charming detailing.
Presenting seldomly to the market in such fine condition, this piece is a must have for the serious Georgian jewellery collector.
